Summary

Are you a creative and ambitious visitor experience professional looking for the opportunity to make a lasting impact?

We're looking for a Senior Visitor Experience Officer to lead the development of our visitor offer at Coalbrookdale, ensuring it continues to evolve and meet the changing expectations of today's audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of the Nation’s most significant heritage sites and play a key role as Ironbridge moves into an exciting new chapter under the care of the National Trust.

Salary: £28,992.60 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours/ working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. You'll be required to work regular weekends.

Alongside your role at Coalbrookdale, you'll support visitor experience delivery across the wider Ironbridge Gorge portfolio, including the vibrant and fast-paced Blists Hill Victorian Town.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same. This is a role that will be rewarding and challenging in equal measure, offering the opportunity to lead change, test new ideas and make a real difference to the visitor experience. You'll lead the creation and delivery of engaging visitor experiences, bringing fresh ideas and innovative thinking to help us achieve ambitious visitor and commercial targets. You'll be confident in identifying new opportunities, testing creative approaches and collaborating with colleagues and partners to ensure our offer remains relevant, inspiring and sustainable for the future.

Who We're Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you’re:

  • Experience delivering a visitor offer and planning inclusive public programming, designing interpretation and writing copy
  • Skilled at communicating, and building good working relationships with people in your team and beyond
  • Strong organisational skills including setting priorities, managing deadlines, prioritising and problem solving
  • Be highly motivated with an ability to use audience insights to find creative solutions
  • Experience of coordinating teams of staff and/or volunteers
  • Experience and/or understanding of visitor operations
  • Experience supporting marketing and social media development initiatives
