Hush

Hush is an ambitious and distinctive fashion brand, with plans to double the business over the next few years. Founded 21 years ago, we are now established as one of the UK’s leading online fashion retailers. We employ around 10 employees across head office and retail, creating and selling a beautiful range of women’s clothing and accessories characterised by effortlessness, simplicity and a laidback sense of style. Despite the challenges to the retail industry, Hush has continued grow – and our company culture still reflects our entrepreneurial roots and relaxed aesthetic. We love hard-working and talented people with a can-do attitude and a passion for what they do.

Freelance Senior Visual Merchandiser

New Store Openings Project | 3-Month Contract

Help shape the next chapter of Hush retail

Hush is growing and we’re opening new stores across the UK. This is an exciting moment for the brand, and we’re looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Visual Merchandiser to help shape the creative visual identity of our new retail spaces.

Working alongside our existing VM team, you’ll bring a strong understanding of fashion, lifestyle and brand storytelling to create the visual world around our product - ensuring our new stores feel unmistakably Hush and deliver an inspiring customer experience from day one.

This role is less about the day-to-day product layout and more about how we bring the Hush brand to life in-store - from the lifestyle imagery and materials through to POS, props and the overall customer journey.

If you’re someone who understands how to create a distinctive brand environment and loves the opportunity to build something new, we’d love to hear from you.

The Project

You’ll play a key role in developing and delivering the creative lifestyle concept for our new stores, working closely with Retail, Brand and VM to ensure the physical environment reflects Hush’s brand DNA while supporting our commercial goals.

What you’ll be doing

Bringing the Hush brand to life

  • Develop and deliver the creative lifestyle vision for our new stores, ensuring the environment feels authentic to Hush and consistent with our brand DNA.
  • Translate the Hush brand into a compelling physical experience through imagery, materials, props, signage and visual storytelling.
  • Work closely with our Chief Customer Experience Officer and the Retail Director to agree how creative elements are used and positioned within each store.
  • Source appropriate materials, props and visual elements that enhance the customer experience and bring the concept to life.
  • Consider how the creative environment works alongside product merchandising to create a cohesive and inspiring store experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
