Senior Voids Surveyor – Help Get Homes Ready for New Residents

Location: Oxford, Reading & Northamptonshire

Are you an experienced MRICS-qualified Surveyor looking for a leadership role where you can make a real difference? As a Senior Voids Surveyor, you'll lead the delivery of void works across your region, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready for new residents as quickly as possible.

Working closely with contractors, operational teams and Assistant Surveyors, you'll drive performance, improve quality and deliver excellent value for money across our voids service.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage void properties from inspection through to handover, ensuring homes meet lettable standards.
  • Lead and support Assistant Surveyors, helping to develop capability and drive high performance.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Manage budgets, quality standards and compliance requirements while delivering an excellent customer experience.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience in building surveying, repairs and maintenance, ideally within social housing or residential property.
  • Strong knowledge of building defects, Schedule of Rates and contractor management.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or supporting technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
  • Degree in Building Surveying, Building Pathology or a related discipline, or
  • HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Building Pathology or an equivalent technical qualification.
