Shift Pattern

  • Earlies: 5:30am–2:00pm Monday–Thursday, 5:30am–11:00am Friday
  • Lates: 1:45pm–10:15pm Monday–Thursday, 10:45am–4:15pm Friday

Salary

  • £31,800.00 + 20% shift allowance (totalling £38,160.00) + bonus

Role Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Warehouse & Logistics Associate to join our Global Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll act as the shift lead for our Warehouse & Logistics operation, coordinating inbound and outbound product flow while supporting and deputising for the Warehouse & Logistics Manager. You'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient storage, distribution, and inventory control of raw materials and finished products, helping to keep our manufacturing operation running smoothly.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Services, you'll provide day-to-day leadership, support team development, and champion high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading, supporting, and coordinating the double day shift Warehouse & Logistics team.
  • Assisting with the supervision, training, and development of Warehouse & Logistics Associates.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for warehouse and logistics-related enquiries and operational issues.
  • Facilitating effective communication and handovers between shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Coordinating the receipting of incoming materials and ensuring accurate, timely booking into the ERP system.
  • Managing the issue and delivery of raw materials to manufacturing areas in line with production schedules.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders when goods have been received and are ready for collection.
  • Coordinating daily picking schedules and the processing of incoming sterilised deliveries.
  • Overseeing order picking activities and ensuring the accuracy of products prior to dispatch.
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient warehouse environment through strong 5S principles.
  • Promoting a positive health and safety culture, including near-miss reporting and risk reduction activities.
  • Supporting the maintenance and adherence of Work Instructions (WIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and visual standards.
  • Ensuring the team follows PPE requirements, quality standards, and regulatory procedures at all times.
  • Building strong relationships across departments to solve problems, support improvements, and drive positive change.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Warehouse & Logistics Associate will have/be:

  • Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or supporting colleagues and a desire to progress into leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including goods receipt, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Confidence making decisions in a fast-paced environment and knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Good IT literacy, with experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of Sage and Mestec systems would be advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of safe manual handling practices.
  • A proactive, organised, and positive approach to work.
  • Commitment to quality, health, and safety, and continuous improvement.
  • A Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be highly advantageous.
  • Interest in studying towards a recognised leadership qualification such as ILM would be desirable.
