Company: Leading 3PL Contract Logistics Provider.
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire (NN14)
Salary & Package: £90,000 to £100,000 + Company Car / £7k Car Allowance + Bonus & Benefits
The Opportunity
Loom Talent are supporting a leading 3PL business with the appointment of a Senior Warehouse General Manager - Contract Logistics to lead a large-scale, multi-user distribution operation in Kettering.
Operating across both open and closed book contracts, the site provides bulk warehousing and distribution solutions for a diverse portfolio of customers, creating an operation that requires strong commercial awareness alongside first-class operational leadership.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
This is a senior, site-wide leadership role with responsibility for the performance, people, customers and continued development of the operation.
Operational Leadership
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the multi-user operation, ensuring consistently high standards across safety, service, quality, productivity and cost.
- Lead through the senior management team, creating clear accountability while ensuring the right structure, capability and operational disciplines are in place.
Customer Management
- Act as the senior operational contact across a portfolio of key customers, building strong relationships and ensuring contractual and service commitments are consistently achieved.
- Lead customer reviews and development plans, balancing individual customer requirements with the wider demands and priorities of a multi-user operation.

Commercial & Financial Performance
- Own the site's financial performance, including budget, cost control and profitability across a mix of open and closed book contracts.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, utilisation and commercial performance, while supporting contract renewals, development and new customer opportunities.
People & Culture
- Lead, coach and develop the management team, building succession plans and creating a high-performance culture centred around accountability, engagement and visible leadership.
- Champion health & safety, compliance and colleague development, ensuring strong standards are embedded throughout the operation.
Continuous Improvement & Growth
- Challenge existing ways of working and drive improvements across service, cost, productivity, process and overall operational performance.
- Maximise the utilisation and commercial potential of the facility while supporting customer implementations, operational change and future growth.
Above all, as the Senior Warehouse General Manager - Contract Logistics, you'll be a credible operational leader who can balance people, customer, commercial and operational priorities within a fast-moving contract logistics environment.
The Candidate
We are looking for an established General Manager, Senior General Manager, Site Director or senior operational leader from within a warehouse biased 3PL contract logistics environment.
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experiences:

You will ideally bring:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
- Significant leadership experience within large-scale warehousing and distribution - Essential.
- Experience operating within a multi-user 3PL environment - Essential.
- Strong understanding of open and closed book commercial models - Essential.
- Full site or significant P&L responsibility of in excess of £10m - Advantageous.
- Excellent customer and stakeholder management capability - Essential.
- A track record of developing management teams and improving operational performance - Essential.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse productivity, labour planning, cost management and continuous improvement - Essential.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining visible and connected to the day-to-day operation - Essential.
- Commutable to the Kettering region 5 x days per week - Essential.
The Salary & Package:
- £90,000 - £100,000 base salary
- Company Car / Car allowance (£7k)
- Company Bonus Scheme
- 5% matched Pension
- 25 + 8 Holiday entitlement
- Family Private medical cover
- 3 x Annual Salary Death in service
