Location: South Kirkby, Wakefield

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: up to £34,500 per annum

The Senior Waste Data & Weighbridge Supervisor is responsible for leading the weighbridge and waste data function across the Wakefield contract, ensuring the accurate recording, validation and reporting of operational and waste management data. The role provides leadership to the weighbridge teams across multiple sites and ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory and company requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and support the South Kirkby Weighbridge Supervisor and Weighbridge Operators across multiple sites
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to support operational requirements
  • Provide coaching, training and performance feedback to team members
  • Ensure the efficient, compliant and uninterrupted operation of all contract weighbridges
  • Provide operational support and hands-on weighbridge cover during periods of absence, annual leave or increased operational demand
  • Ensure all weighbridge activities comply with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and company procedures
  • Manage the collection, validation and analysis of operational data to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory reporting requirements
  • Produce accurate and timely operational, contractual and management reports
  • Utilise advanced Excel and reporting tools to analyse data and support decision-making

Essential criteria for the role:

  • Working knowledge of weighbridge operations and weighbridge data recording systems
  • Strong understanding of waste classification and European Waste Catalogue (EWC) codes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, formulas and reporting
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective people management and leadership skills
