About the Role

Here at AECOM, we’re seeking a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to join our Water Team in the UK or Ireland, benefiting from our flexible hybrid working model.
As a key player, you’ll:
- Deliver strategic and detailed projects impacting flood alleviation and pollution reduction.
- Work seamlessly with technologists, designers, engineers, and scientists to create holistic solutions.
- Influence industry standards—shaping best practices through guidance and innovation.

Responsibilities
Core Tasks
- Modelling: Build and verify hydraulic models for sewer networks; develop integrated catchment-scale solutions for flooding and pollution risks.
- Innovation: Apply new technologies to advance water industry standards.
- Collaboration: Protest technical reports, presentations, and documentation with clarity; mentor colleagues on projects.
- Leadership: Check hydraulic models, calculations, and reports for compliance with modelling specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Define project scopes, propose tender responses, and advise clients.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in hydraulic modelling, GIS, or asset management, including:
- ArcGIS / MapInfo (GIS);
- Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset (water assets/models).
- Industry experience in water consultancy—ideally with public/private sector water providers.
