About the Role
Join our dynamic Water Team as a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller, delivering water infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.
You’ll work within our integrated multidisciplinary teams, addressing challenges like flood alleviation, pollution reduction, and infrastructure sustainability. This position is the perfect opportunity to advance your career, support major schemes, and influence industry best practices—all while working with cutting-edge Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller, your key contribution will deliver high-impact projects for public (e.g., Anglian Water, Environment Agency) and private sector clients. You’ll achieve the following:
Core Duties
- Deliver hydraulic and sewer network modelling, including validation, verification, and technical reporting.
- Support project scoping through catchment-scale analytics, flow surveys, and flood/pollution risk strategies.
- Utilise advanced tools like Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset, applying new technologies to solve complex challenges.
- Tender and bid management, formulating project scopes and responding to client needs.
- Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation clearly and concisely.
- Mentor junior team members and foster professional development in a collaborative environment.
- Quality assurance, reviewing models, calculations, and reports for accuracy and compliance with AECOM’s technical standards.

Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modelling, data analytics, or GIS, specifically proficient in ArcGIS or MapInfo.
- Hands-on Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset experience.
- Proven experience in water consultancy with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-calibre modelling work.
Experience & Skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Proven track record of delivering technical documentation and fostering positive client relationships.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of industry developments.
