Title: Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller Location: Bristol, UK (with hybrid working flexibility) Salary: Competitive (full details in offer) Equipment: Laptop.

Join AECOM’s dynamic Water Team as a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller, contributing to groundbreaking projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, solving critical challenges in flood risk, pollution, and water infrastructure, while fostering continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver: Build and verify hydraulic models of sewer networks; develop integrated catchment models and support flood and pollution risk strategies.
  • Innovate: Apply new technologies and problem-solve for clients while crafting project scopes and tender responses.
  • Communicate: Produce technical reports, presentations, and visualisations to share modelling insights effectively.
  • Lead: Mentor team members and nurture professional growth; maintain positive client relationships.
  • Ensure quality: Review modelling outputs, calculations, and reports to uphold specification and technical excellence.

Requirements & Eligibility

Key Skills & Experience

  • Degree: Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient in hydraulic modelling (e.g., Innovyze ICM, InfoWorks, SWMM).
    • GIS skills (e.g., ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS) for data analysis/visualisation.
  • Domain Knowledge: Water consultancy experience, asset management, or environmental engineering.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, autonomy in engineering tasks, and passion for deadline-driven collaboration.
