Senior Wellbeing Lead

Salary: £38,500 Per annum
Location: ON-SITE, London, UK (require travel flexibility)
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM

About the Role

The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a Senior Wellbeing Lead to join our London campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Wellbeing team in developing and implementing a proactive and responsive student wellbeing strategy.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Monitor trends and challenges in student wellbeing to inform departmental initiatives and resource allocation.
  • Ensure clear policies and procedures are in place, and being implemented, to risk assess, support, and refer students to external bodies as required and to escalate more serious cases internally to the student support and senior management as appropriate.
  • Lead the Wellbeing team across all ESL campus locations and look after day to day running of the wellbeing department for staff under your supervision.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the wellbeing team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate team training and professional development to maintain best practices.
  • Manage workloads and ensure effective team performance through regular meetings, evaluations, and feedback.
  • Oversee the delivery of one-to-one and group wellbeing support for students facing personal, social, and emotional challenges.
  • Develop and evaluate engaging workshops and events to promote mental health awareness and resilience.
  • Work with student representatives to ensure services reflect student needs and feedback.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal departments, including Student Support, Student Success, Attendance and Intervention, Partnership Academic Managers, Assessment.
  • Lead on complex cases involving safeguarding or critical incidents, providing clear direction and support.
  • Act as Safeguarding Lead for ESL.
  • Ensure all team members are well-versed in safeguarding policies and protocols.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives and interventions through regular data collection and analysis.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to senior leadership for service enhancement.
  • Drive innovation by identifying gaps in provision and proposing creative solutions.
