We’re supporting a major UK energy organisation building a new and growing whole energy forecasting capability, with multiple senior analyst opportunities across several specialist areas, including:
- Electricity & Data Centres
- Integration, Emissions & Cross-Cutting
- Transport, Road & Aviation
- Consumer / Planning Assumptions
- Whole Energy / Regional Energy Pathways
These roles will help shape how future energy supply and demand is forecast across Great Britain, covering electricity, hydrogen, biomethane, heat, transport, industry and consumer demand.
The role
You’ll lead forecasting, modelling and analysis to develop future energy pathways and scenarios, working with large datasets and translating complex analysis into actionable insights.

Depending on your specialism, you’ll be involved in developing forecasting methodologies and assumptions, whole-system modelling, regional/distribution-level analysis, scenario development and engagement with senior industry stakeholders.
You’ll also provide technical leadership and guidance to other analysts and help develop new modelling approaches and analytical capability.
What we're looking for
Strong experience in energy forecasting, demand/supply modelling, energy-system modelling or quantitative energy analysis, alongside:
- Python, SQL, R, MATLAB and/or advanced Excel
- Statistical/data modelling and forecasting
- Strong understanding of the UK energy sector
- Ability to work with complex datasets and bespoke modelling tools
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Experience leading technical work and/or mentoring analysts
- STEM, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or similar background
