Role Responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for the University's widening participation post-16 outreach and information, advice and guidance (IAG) programme of targeted activity. Drawing on City St George's distinctive interdisciplinary strengths across business and the professions, they manage the Outreach and IAG sub-team to deliver high-quality multidisciplinary outreach and careers information, advice and guidance that supports the University's Access and Participation Plan, inspiring and preparing students to explore higher education. 

This includes overseeing the planning, delivery and evaluation of activity with schools, colleges and local communities, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure strong engagement and impact. Evaluation, data and sector insight are used to continuously improve programme outcomes and inform the ongoing development of new and existing widening participation provision. 

Key initiatives include careers information, advice and guidance (IAG) delivered by the Widening Participation Careers Adviser, post-16 subject focused events, taster weeks, visit days and tailored support for care leavers, young carers or those in alternative education provision.
