Senior Wind Development Manager

London, UK (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)
£80,000 - £100,000 per annum, plus bonus

Our client is a renewable energy IPP with an onshore wind pipeline at an early stage, sites identified but nothing through consent yet. This role exists to take that pipeline forward: through consent, through land rights, and on to ready to build and FID. Consent is the priority. Everything else follows from getting that right.

The Company

Development sits under a single Head of Development, whose remit spans site acquisition, grid strategy, and delivery through to energisation. This role plugs straight into a team that already knows how to get projects built, working alongside site acquisition and grid strategy to keep wind moving at the same pace as the rest of the pipeline.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the wind pipeline through consent, working sites already identified rather than starting from scratch.
  • Own land rights negotiations across the wind portfolio.
  • Drive projects from consent through to ready to build and FID.
  • Work alongside the site acquisition and grid strategy teams to keep wind on pace with the rest of the development pipeline.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A strong, evidenced track record of getting onshore wind projects through consent. This is the core requirement for the role.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in onshore wind development.
  • Strong land rights negotiation experience.
  • Experience driving projects to ready to build or FID.
  • Origination experience is a bonus. This pipeline already exists, so the immediate need is consent, land rights, and delivery through to FID.
