In April 2023 Baker Hughes acquired ALTUS Intervention. Following the successful integration of our two companies, we are expanding our team and looking to hire talented individuals to join us on our exciting journey. We are shaping the future of well intervention. Due to growth we are currently looking for highly motivated and skilled personnel to strengthen our offshore Team based in the UK.

Partner with the best

As a Senior Wireline Field Engineer, you will provide technical expertise to support the delivery of multiple customer projects. You will play an essential role in delivering technical solutions and providing operational excellence to our customers.

As a Senior Field Engineer, you will also be responsible for:

  • Being hands on, rigging up, testing downhole tools at the wellsite
  • Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaising with customers and shore-based Operation Managers.
  • Supervising the training of less experienced engineers and personnel.
  • Acquiring downhole data, preparing logs and reports, documenting, receiving and testing equipment and products.
  • Advising Customer Representatives during logging operations; interpreting logging data, troubleshooting and wellsite analysis.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be educated to HND/Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering related subject and have sufficient relevant logging experience
  • Have a thorough understanding and competency in oilfield wireline operations and services
  • Have industry experience and product line training in Wireline and/or related services
  • Be a good communicator and fluent in English
  • Have good knowledge of QHSE practices and an outstanding QHSE attitude
  • Be a key team player, who also can work independently.
  • Have a structured, analytical and creative approach
  • Be flexible and positive with a growth mindset

The role is offshore based, but occasional onshore training will be required. Role is ad hoc with an average of 150-180 days offshore. We aim to provide a good work/home life balance.
