WMS Senior Engineer
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior WMS Engineer with strong experience in Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS Dispatcher. The role will focus on WMS configuration, development, integration, troubleshooting, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement within a complex warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and translate them into effective WMS solutions.
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of BY/JDA WMS solutions.
- Develop WMS configuration changes, enhancements, and new functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system defects and operational issues.
- Optimise WMS components for performance, stability, and reliability.
- Develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports, and labels.
- Design and implement technical solutions based on functional requirements.
- Create and execute test plans and document results.
- Support WMS upgrades, including recent Dispatcher versions.
- Support cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities as required.
- Provide progress updates to technical leads and project managers.
- Participate in stand-ups, design reviews, and project discussions.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain technical and procedural documentation.

- Strong hands-on experience with Blue Yonder / JDA WMS Dispatcher.
- Experience in WMS configuration, development, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Experience designing and implementing BY/JDA WMS solutions.
- Experience with WMS Dispatcher upgrades, including 2024+ versions.
- Strong understanding of WMS architecture, integrations, interfaces, reports, and labels.
- Strong PL/SQL and Shell scripting skills.
- Experience developing enhancements and resolving software defects.
- Experience creating and executing test plans.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with Jenkins / CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies is desirable.
- Experience with Java, Python, and React.js is desirable.
- Power BI and/or JasperSoft reporting experience is desirable.
- Warehouse automation experience
- Experience with other WMS platforms such as BY WMS Cognitive, Manhattan, or Oracle WMS is beneficial.
