Senior Womenswear Designer / Design Lead

Location: London - Office based

Salary: up to £57k DOE + benefits


We are working with a growing, successful fashion business in London to add a Senior Womenswear Designer / Design Lead to their design team of over 20, working on a key premium womenswear brand. The brand is very much a casual Gen Z brand, mainly jersey product covering fashion and lifestyle sportswear.

The Role

  • Leading the design and product development of a key womenswear brand covering multiple products
  • Overseeing a small team
  • Ensuring commercial relevance and strong market performance
  • Managing the full design lifecycle, from initial research and concept development, final technical packs to final SMS samples
  • Developing cohesive product ranges across multiple categories while maintaining aesthetic and quality standards
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, buying, merchandising, licensors, and international suppliers
  • Sourcing seasonal fabrics, trims and collaborating with Far East Asian and South Asian mills, factories, and suppliers
  • Overseeing fabric, trim, and print development to deliver value-driven, on-brand collections
  • Ensuring all designs meet cost targets and production timelines across diverse global markets
  • Helping present seasonal collections to buyers from the UK and Poland

Must Haves to be Shortlisted

  • Senior Womenswear Designer with some management experience
  • Recent Womenswear Design experience (UK experience) and ideally a supply background or experience in young fast fashion
  • Solid Jersey experience and a strong portfolio in hand
  • First-class communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be dynamic and have a "can-do attitude", you will be asked sometimes to work on other brands so being flexible is key
  • London based (or commutable within an hour) and eligible to work in the UK
  • The role is office-based, no WFH but there is flexible working hours
