A fashion brand based in Manchester City Centre are looking for a Senior Womenswear Designer to join their growing design team.

The Brand

They are a small but growing brand based in Manchester and they are looking for a Senior Womenswear Designer to join their team. Known for their trend-driven and inclusive approach to fashion, they are looking for a creative Senior Designer who can help shape the brand’s design direction and develop innovative collections that resonate with their customer.

The Role

  • Lead and develop the brand’s creative vision, translating it into innovative, cohesive and trend-led collections.
  • Design and develop seasonal collections from initial concepts through to final samples, ensuring designs reflect the brand’s aesthetic and customer.
  • Continuously push creative boundaries, bringing fresh and original ideas to the design process.
  • Conduct extensive trend and market research across colours, fabrics, materials and silhouettes to ensure the brand remains commercially relevant.
  • Compile and present seasonal trend reports to help shape future collections and design direction.
  • Source and select fabrics, trims and other materials, balancing creativity, quality and commerciality.
  • Create detailed technical sketches, CADs and tech packs, working closely with pattern cutters, manufacturers and suppliers to bring designs to life.
  • Work closely with the Design Director and Creative Director to develop and evolve the brand’s visual and design language.

About You

  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, textiles, trims and garment construction.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong CAD and technical drawing skills.
  • Experienced in creating detailed tech packs, specifications and technical information for sampling and production.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit and the production process.
  • Experience supporting fit sessions and providing clear, detailed fit comments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Design, Technical, Merchandising and Production teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple deadlines.
