Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What They Need

The main priority is strong hands-on Workday Financials configuration experience. They are looking for someone who can:

  • Configure Workday independently
  • Troubleshoot Workday issues
  • Manage BAU support and service tickets
  • Support Finance and HR users
  • Deliver enhancements and smaller improvement projects
  • Work across Finance, HR and IT
  • Take long-term ownership of the Workday environment

This is not a Project Manager role – they need someone genuinely functional and hands-on.

Key Skills

Strong experience across areas such as:

  • Workday Financials configuration
  • Business Process configuration
  • Supplier and customer processes
  • Expenses and invoicing
  • Finance approvals
  • Financial master data

Someone considerably stronger in Financials than HCM can still be an excellent fit.

Experience with:

  • Custom Workday reporting
  • Calculated Fields
  • Dashboards and filters
  • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Domain and Business Process Security
  • Role-based security and security groups
  • Access and segregation of duties
  • BAU / Post-Production

Post-production experience is particularly valuable as the role will eventually help own the live environment.

Ideally:

  • BAU Workday support
  • Ticket and incident management
  • Root-cause analysis
  • Configuration changes
  • Workday enhancements
  • Release management
  • Regression testing / UAT
  • Change control
  • Continuous improvement

Pure implementation experience without post-production exposure is less ideal.
