Senior Workday Talent & Performance Specialist

Location: North West England

Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in the Greater Manchester area

Employment Type: Permanent

We are supporting a large international organisation looking to strengthen its internal Workday team with an experienced Senior Workday Analyst specialising in Talent & Performance.

This is a senior functional Workday position where you will act as the subject matter expert for Workday Talent & Performance, taking ownership of configuration, enhancements, releases and continuous improvement across the module.

The role will suit someone who has strong hands-on Workday configuration experience and is comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions and deliver changes through to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Workday Talent & Performance subject matter expert
  • Own and deliver configuration changes across Talent & Performance
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements
  • Translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions
  • Manage enhancements from initial design through testing and deployment
  • Support Workday release cycles, including impact assessment and testing
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and feature adoption
  • Contribute to the wider Workday roadmap and module strategy
  • Maintain Workday configuration standards and system integrity
  • Support governance, compliance and documentation requirements
  • Work closely with HR, Technology and wider business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external Workday partners where required
  • Support change management, communications and user adoption
  • Act as an escalation point for complex Workday issues
  • Provide guidance and support to more junior team members

What We're Looking For:

You should have strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Talent & Performance within a live Workday environment.

Key Experience Includes:

  • Deep Workday Talent & Performance experience
  • Hands-on Workday configuration
  • Strong understanding of Workday Business Processes
  • Requirements gathering and solution design
  • Workday enhancement and change delivery
  • Workday release management and testing
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experience working with HR and business users
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Workday issues
  • Strong documentation and governance capability

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience across additional Workday HCM modules
  • Workday Pro certification
  • Experience within a large or global organisation
  • Experience managing or working with third-party Workday partners
  • Experience delivering Workday projects or module implementations

This role would suit someone who has genuinely owned or configured Workday Talent & Performance and has been responsible for delivering changes within the system, rather than someone whose exposure has mainly been user support or general Workday administration.

You will join a specialist Workday team alongside colleagues with expertise across other Workday functional areas.
