Senior Project Worker – ZAP Youth Homelessness Prevention & Resolution Service

£28,000–£31,000 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Project Worker to join our ZAP Youth Homelessness Prevention and Resolution Service.
You’ll support young people aged 16–24 who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, housing instability and multiple disadvantage. Alongside managing a complex caseload, you’ll provide senior practice guidance to colleagues, support safeguarding and risk management, and contribute to partnership working, quality assurance and service development.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a complex caseload and deliver strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-centred support.
- Help young people achieve housing stability, independence and positive long-term outcomes.
- Provide practice guidance, mentoring and constructive challenge to colleagues.
- Support effective safeguarding, risk management and multi-agency working.
- Build strong relationships with housing providers, statutory services and voluntary sector partners.
- Contribute to quality assurance, case audits, performance monitoring and service improvement.
- Champion high-quality, young-person-centred practice across the service.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
- Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
- At least two years’ experience in housing, homelessness, supported accommodation or a related complex needs service.
- Experience managing complex casework, safeguarding and risk.
- Strong knowledge of youth homelessness, housing pathways and homelessness prevention.
- Experience of multi-agency working and supporting colleagues through guidance, mentoring or coaching.
- An understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centred and harm reduction approaches.
- Excellent communication, professional judgement and record-keeping skills.
