A Christian youth charity based in Gloucestershire, The Door was established in 1991 for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25. It’s a place where every young person can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated individual to join our award-winning youth work team as a Senior Youth Worker for Stonehouse.

In this role you will:
- Lead, develop, and deliver high-quality youth work programmes in dedicated youth centres, outdoor spaces and local schools that empower young people, meet their needs and strengthen community cohesion based around The Pod Youth Centre.
- Supervise other youth work staff and volunteers.
- Contribute to strategic planning.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure services are innovative, evidence-based and meet organisational objectives.
Experience of working with young people in a youth work setting or similar and an awareness of the issues facing young people today is a must as well as experience collaborating with stakeholders, supervising staff and managing volunteer teams.

Ongoing training is provided, as is support and commitment to your personal growth and development in the role.
You will need to have your own transport to enable you to work across multiple youth club locations, particularly in Stroud, Stonehouse, Cam, Dursley, Cirencester, Fairford & Lechlade. Travel expenses are paid when working away from your usual centre.
This role is full time but applications for 0.6fte or more will be considered.
