Senior/Account Manager – Medical Communications
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Salary: Competitive + benefits
An established and growing international medical communications agency is looking for an experienced Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join its Client Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing professional ready to take the next step into genuine account ownership within a collaborative, scientifically focused agency.
The Role
You will become the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, taking ownership of project delivery from initiation through to completion. Working closely with scientific, creative, digital and events specialists, you'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.
This role offers significant development opportunities, with structured mentoring from senior client services leaders while providing increasing responsibility for client relationships, commercial awareness and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple medical communications projects across a range of deliverables.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders through proactive and responsive communication.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including scientific, creative, digital and events colleagues.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers and status reports.
- Ensure all client materials are reviewed thoroughly before submission.
- Attend client meetings, including occasional international travel where required.
- Support budget development, project reconciliation and recoverability monitoring under senior guidance.
- Identify scope changes, delivery risks and potential solutions before they become issues.
- Contribute to proposal development, pitch activity and organic business growth opportunities.
- Support and mentor junior members of the Client Services team in day-to-day project delivery.

About You
You'll be an organised, proactive project manager who enjoys building client relationships and delivering high-quality work within a fast-paced agency environment.
Essential:
- Previous experience within a medical communications agency is essential.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex project timelines.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of project scope and budgets.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a genuine desire to develop your client leadership skills.

Desirable:
- Experience across multiple therapy areas and global pharmaceutical accounts.
- Exposure to project budgeting, recoverability or financial reconciliation.
- Experience supporting business development or proposal preparation.
