Head of Digital Marketing & E-commerce
Hayley Menzies | London
Hayley Menzies is an independent British fashion brand creating beautifully crafted clothing, rooted in creativity, craftsmanship and considered design.
We’re looking for an energetic, commercially minded and highly proactive Head of Digital Marketing & E-commerce to join our small London team.
This is a senior but genuinely hands-on role for someone who combines strong creative instincts with commercial thinking and excellent execution. As a small independent business, we need someone who is as comfortable having the idea as they are making it happen.
Working closely with the Founder & Creative Director, you’ll help shape our marketing strategy, own the marketing budget and calendar, and lead its day-to-day execution across e-commerce, CRM, paid digital, social and retail.
You’ll manage and mentor a small team, including our Community & Customer Care Executive, alongside a freelance copywriter and graphic designer.
We love AI and are continually looking for smarter ways to work, so strong experience using tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to optimise workflows, improve output and make better use of your time is important to us.
What you’ll be doing
- Own and manage the marketing calendar and critical path, coordinating campaigns, product launches and key trading moments.
- Work closely with the Founder & Creative Director to brainstorm relevant, creative ideas for launches, content, customer engagement and brand-building, and turn those ideas into action.
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend is commercially focused and aligned with business priorities.
- Own the day-to-day trading and merchandising of our Shopify store, with a strong focus on commercial performance.
- Manage product launches and uploads, ensuring imagery, copy, pricing and product information are accurate and live on time.
- Monitor and report on sales, sell-through and line-level performance, using data to help inform reorder decisions, stock strategy and merchandising priorities.
- Own our Klaviyo email marketing, including building and executing campaigns, segmentation, automated and triggered CRM flows and lifecycle messaging.
- Own and manage paid media across Meta and Google, from campaign planning and creative development through to build, optimisation, reporting and performance.
- Create and adapt digital assets for email, paid media and campaigns using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop.
- Oversee social activity at a high level, ensuring it aligns with product launches, campaigns and the wider marketing calendar.
- Brief and manage our freelance copywriter and graphic designer, ensuring work is delivered on brief and on time.
- Manage, mentor and develop our Community & Customer Care Executive, providing clear direction, support and constructive feedback.
- Liaise closely with our retail team, supporting in-store activations and ensuring consistency between the online and in-store customer experience.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, optimise workflows and improve the customer journey, including through the intelligent use of AI.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
