Senior/Lead Data Engineer (Python & SQL) - FinTech - New AI Platform
Our client, a FinTech Scale-Up, is building a brand-new AI-driven trading and market infrastructure platform and is hiring experienced Data Engineers to join a newly formed R&D engineering team in London.
This is a greenfield opportunity to help design and build scalable data platforms from the ground up, supporting real-time trading, analytics, AI/ML workloads and market data services.
Responsibilities
- We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer with particularly strong Python and SQL skills.
- Ideally, you'll have experience with Airflow, Snowflake and dbt and a strong Computer Science or similar technical background.
- You'll have significant technical ownership from day one, working in a highly funded, fast-moving engineering environment with the stability, scale and resources of a major global financial institution behind you.

Key Tasks
- Build a brand-new data platform from the ground up
- Work with Python, SQL, Airflow, Snowflake and dbt + more
- Solve complex data challenges across trading, AI and market infrastructure
- Work alongside highly experienced engineers and researchers
- Take ownership of key technical areas
- Clear opportunity to progress into a Team Lead role
