Senior/Principal Air Safety Engineer - Permanent

Location: Remote, Hybrid dependant on programme

We are a small to medium sized consultancy with a fantastic and growing team and lots of ambition. ISE are currently supporting our clients on some of the most exciting and technically challenging projects in the defence sector. We offer Hybrid/Remote with Flexible working patterns and believe work-life balance is key to success. Travel to client sites may be required depending on the role.


About Infinity Systems Engineering

Infinity Systems Engineering is looking for experienced Air Safety Engineers to support complex defence programmes across the Air, Weapons, UAS, Electronic Warfare and Radar domains.

You will support the development and delivery of safety assessments, safety cases and supporting evidence throughout the engineering lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA).
  • Undertake Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • Produce and review FMEA / FMECA.
  • Develop and maintain Hazard Logs.
  • Produce and support Safety & Environmental Case Reports (SECRs).
  • Support safety cases, safety arguments and ALARP assessments.
  • Develop and manage safety requirements.
  • Provide safety input into system design, engineering reviews and certification activities.
  • Work closely with Systems Engineering, Design, Airworthiness and customer teams.

Experience Required

We are interested in Safety Engineers with experience across one or more of the following:

  • Fast Jets / Combat Air
  • UAS / UAV
  • Weapons Systems
  • Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • Radar & Sensors
  • Land Safety

Experience of relevant aerospace and defence safety standards is highly desirable, including:

  • ARP4754 / ARP4754A
  • ARP4761 / ARP4761A
  • Def Stan 00-056
  • MIL-STD-882

Previous experience within Defence, Aerospace or other safety-critical engineering environments is essential.
