Senior/Principal Civil Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: Glasgow

Type: Permanent

A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer into their Glasgow team due to continued project growth and a strong forward workload.

They are open on level depending on experience but are particularly keen to speak with Senior and Principal-level engineers who can contribute both technically and from a project delivery perspective.

The Role

You’ll be working on a range of civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on drainage and development infrastructure design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver infrastructure schemes including drainage, alignment, and general civils
  • Produce and review technical outputs (drawings, calculations, reports)
  • Work across a variety of sectors, potentially including water and renewables
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support and mentor junior engineers (Senior+ level)
  • Contribute to project planning and delivery

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience in civil engineering consultancy (design-focused)
  • Strong background in:
    • Drainage design
    • Infrastructure / alignment design
  • Proficiency in:
    • InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workload and contribute to project delivery

Chartership & Progression

  • Open to candidates working towards Chartership (ICE)
  • Strong internal support and proven track record of helping engineers achieve CEng
  • Clear pathway for progression, with Principal-level roles aligned to chartered status and experience
