Experienced Geotechnical Engineers (Offshore) Wanted
A leading engineering and design consultancy is looking for experienced Geotechnical Engineers (Offshore) across multiple levels - Senior, Principal, Associate, and Chief, to join their Ground Engineering team across multiple UK offices including Epsom, Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, and Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for geotechnical professionals at any of these levels to work on prestigious offshore and infrastructure projects across energy, rail, highways, water, renewable energy, carbon capture, and nuclear power sectors.
Responsibilities for Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Offshore)
- Lead complex offshore geotechnical projects with minimal supervision
- Lead offshore foundation design including monopiles, jacket foundations, suction caissons, driveability, cable burial trenchability, and deep-water anchoring
- Undertake and validate advanced geotechnical numerical analysis and model calibration
- Apply advanced constitutive soil models, soil-structure interaction, and numerical modelling software including FLAC and PLAXIS 2D/3D
- Manage geotechnical numerical analysis within interdisciplinary project environments
- Hold a pivotal role in Offshore Geotechnics and Numerical Modelling Technical Disciplines
- Support and mentor colleagues to develop understanding of advanced geotechnical principles
- Drive digital innovation in offshore geotechnics and advanced geotechnical analysis

Essential Requirements for Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Offshore)

- Relevant degree with MSc or PhD preferred
- Chartered status or working towards
- Proven geotechnical analysis and design experience with strong focus on the offshore sector
- Experience in offshore foundation design and deep-water anchoring
- Detailed understanding of advanced constitutive soil models and numerical modelling software
- Experience in validation of geotechnical numerical analysis and model calibration
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas
- Valid UK driving licence
