Job Description:

Join Finch and Help Shape the Future of Occupational Hygiene.

At Finch, we work on some of the UK’s most technically challenging occupational hygiene projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Chartered Occupational Hygienist who combines technical excellence with sound professional judgement and passion for solving complex problems.

This is a rare opportunity to combine high-level consultancy work with a structure pathway into expert witness practice, supported by nationally recognised experts.

You'll work on significant industrial and regulatory challenges, support litigation and forensic investigations, and develop the expertise required to become a trusted independent expert.

Whether your background is in consultancy, industry, or a regulatory environment, we'd like to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As a Senior/Principal Occupational Hygienist, you'll lead complex consultancy assignments while developing specialist expertise in forensic investigations and expert witness work.

You’ll:

  • Lead occupational hygiene and exposure risk management projects across complex and highly regulated environments.
  • Advise clients on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of workplace health risks.
  • Support organisations facing regulatory scrutiny, civil claims, enforcement action, and legal disputes.
  • Work alongside experienced expert witnesses, developing the skills needed to prepare expert reports and provide evidence in court.
  • Influence senior leaders and boards, helping them make informed and defensible decisions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, technical innovation, publications, and service development.
  • Help shape the future direction of occupational hygiene services within a growing consultancy.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be recognised as a trusted technical adviser whose expertise is valued by clients, colleagues, and regulators.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
