The Role

You'll be Flok's first dedicated test hire, and will take ownership of testing and product quality, for both our patient facing application and internal clinician tools.

This is an individual contributor role (at least for the foreseeable future), but with scope for technical leadership in terms of setting testing strategy and direction.

What You'll Do

Your Day-to-day Work Will Be Impactful And Varied, Including

  • Designing and building automated tests (particularly e2e, scale and device-compatibility tests)
  • Performing manual testing (where it adds value)
  • Setting overall test strategy, prioritising test efforts, and writing clear QA plans
  • Managing the software release process and documenting releases for medical device regulatory compliance
  • Reviewing product requirements
  • Participating in bug triage/diagnosis and incident investigations
  • Configuring CI systems and maintaining test environments
  • Improving system observability to facilitate easier testing and debugging
  • Providing input into system design decisions with a focus on testability
  • Fixing some of the bugs you find (where appropriate)

You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the engineering team (who will continue to also write tests) and all Flok employees (who will continue to help QA the product internally), but you’ll be the go-to expert dedicated to test strategy and quality ownership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
