About the Role
As a Senior Copy Editor for this specialist division of a Public Sector Office, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of written materials. Your work will help the marketing team deliver clear, accurate, and engaging content that effectively communicates key messages.
Client Details
This role is with a specialist organisation in the public sector and can be based from Edinburgh, Newport, or Darlington.
Description
- Edit and proofread a variety of written materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine messaging and tone.
- Ensure content is tailored to the intended audience and platform.
- Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and stylistic errors.
- Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve overall content quality.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Profile
A successful Senior Copy Editor will bring a demonstrable track record including:
- Proven experience in editing and proofreading content for professional use.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively to oversee team's output.
- Familiarity with public sector communications is advantageous.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Job Offer
- PAYE Hourly rate of up to £21.59.
- Additional AWR holiday pay.
- The role requires 4 days/week on site.
- A BPSS check will be required - including DBS & referencing.
