SEO Account Director – Contract
Rate: £400 per day – Outside IR35
Location: Remote or hybrid
Start: W/C 31st August
Duration: 1 month rolling, with potential to extend
Client: Global automotive brand
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Account Director to join a leading agency, supporting a major global automotive client across 10+ international markets.
The account has evolved significantly over the past 12 months, with the scope now covering both traditional SEO and GEO / AI search optimisation.
Responsibilities:
- Leading day-to-day client communication across a large global SEO account
- Developing and presenting search-focused strategies across multiple markets
- Overseeing SEO activity across content, reporting, outreach, and analytics
- Turning performance data and insights into clear recommendations for the client
- Coordinating activity across internal SEO specialists and delivery teams
- Supporting the continued evolution of the account into GEO / AI search
- Ensuring work is delivered effectively across 10+ international markets

Experience Required:
- Strong SEO experience, ideally within an agency environment
- Previous experience at Account Director / SEO Director level or similar
- Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills
- Broad SEO knowledge across content, reporting, outreach, and analytics
- Experience developing and communicating organic search strategies
- Experience working across large, complex, or international accounts
- A good understanding of Technical SEO – although dedicated specialists will handle the technical delivery
- An understanding of GEO / AI search optimisation would be beneficial
- The ability to confidently lead conversations with senior stakeholders
