SEO Account Manager

Birmingham (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)

£30,000 – £32,000

Pitch is proud to be partnering with a well-established Birmingham agency to recruit an SEO Account Manager to join its growing SEO team.

Working with an impressive portfolio of well-known consumer and B2B brands, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering SEO strategies that drive measurable results. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an agency with a brilliant reputation, a collaborative culture and a genuine commitment to developing its people.

You'll work alongside experienced SEO specialists, content experts and the wider digital marketing team, giving you the opportunity to broaden your skills while making a real impact across a diverse client portfolio.

The Role:

As SEO Account Manager, you'll take ownership of SEO strategy and campaign delivery across a portfolio of client accounts. Acting as the main point of contact, you'll build strong relationships with clients while working closely with the technical SEO and content teams to deliver integrated SEO campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering SEO strategies for a range of new and existing clients.
  • Acting as the day-to-day SEO contact, providing expert advice and recommendations.
  • Carrying out SEO audits, analysing website performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Delivering on-page optimisation recommendations and content-focused SEO improvements.
  • Collaborating with technical SEO specialists, content teams and wider digital marketing colleagues to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively.
  • Monitoring performance, reporting on results and continually refining SEO strategies.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, algorithm updates and emerging trends, including AI and GEO.

About You:

We're looking for someone who enjoys working directly with clients and has the confidence to own projects from strategy through to delivery.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within an SEO role, ideally in an agency environment (although strong in-house backgrounds will also be considered).
  • A solid understanding of technical and on-page SEO.
  • Experience developing SEO strategies and making data-led recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Knowledge of on-page optimisation and content SEO.
  • Experience using Screaming Frog would be advantageous but isn't essential.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently while collaborating with the wider team.
