Role: SEO Account Manager

Salary: £34k-£37k
Location: Stafford (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office)

The Role

This is a client-facing role where you'll manage a portfolio of accounts, acting as the main point of contact while working alongside SEO specialists to improve search visibility, organic performance and commercial results.

The role is centred around SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), with strong content writing and content optimisation at the heart of the position. You'll create engaging, search-focused content that performs across both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences, while helping shape strategy and deliver measurable results for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of SEO clients, building strong relationships through regular meetings, calls and emails.
  • Develop and deliver SEO and GEO strategies that improve organic visibility, engagement and conversions.
  • Coordinate day-to-day campaign delivery, ensuring actions are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Write high-quality, SEO-optimised content, including website copy, landing pages, blogs, case studies and thought leadership content tailored to different audiences and brand tones.
  • Optimise existing website content through improvements to metadata, headings, internal linking, image optimisation and on-page SEO.
  • Review and quality-check SEO recommendations and content produced across the wider team.
  • Carry out keyword, topic and search intent research using platforms such as Semrush.
  • Conduct SEO audits covering content opportunities, internal linking, topical authority and user experience.
  • Identify technical SEO issues, including crawlability, indexation, redirects, broken links, site architecture, page speed and Core Web Vitals.
  • Brief technical recommendations to development teams and monitor implementation.
  • Analyse performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio and other reporting platforms.
  • Produce client reports that highlight performance trends, opportunities and actionable recommendations.
  • Manage and optimise Google Business Profiles alongside wider local SEO activity.
  • Stay up to date with Google algorithm updates, AI search developments and evolving SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with wider digital teams to support integrated marketing projects where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
