SEO Account Manager

Location: Edinburgh (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Salary: Competitive, plus benefits

Point Six One Eight is delighted to be working with one of Scotland's leading marketing agencies, who is looking to recruit an experienced SEO Account Manager to its specialist search team.

This is an opportunity to join an agency that takes a genuinely strategic approach to SEO. The team focuses on evidence-led, commercially driven search strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes for clients.

You'll take ownership of your own portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted advisor while working alongside experienced SEO specialists and wider digital teams. It's a role that offers genuine autonomy, exposure to a broad range of businesses, and clear opportunities to continue developing your expertise.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of SEO activity across a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring campaigns are delivered to a consistently high standard and aligned with commercial objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact for SEO activity.
  • Delivering technical SEO audits and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Conducting keyword research and producing content recommendations.
  • Working closely with content and digital specialists to implement SEO strategies.
  • Presenting performance reports and translating data into meaningful commercial insights.
  • Advising clients on best practice and confidently challenging recommendations where the data suggests a different approach.
  • Monitoring technical performance using industry-leading SEO and analytics platforms.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts and maximise performance.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical SEO knowledge with excellent client management skills.

We're looking for:

  • Around 3-5 years' experience in an SEO-focused role, either agency-side or in-house.
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading regular review meetings.
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site audits, crawl analysis, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • A good understanding of content optimization and keyword strategy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve commercial success.
