We're looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious SEO Assistant who is eager to take their first steps into a career in digital marketing and help continue Net World Sports' organic growth globally.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
- Work closely with the SEO Manager and Senior SEO Executive on all aspects of organic search activity.
- Carry out research to help internal teams understand consumer search behaviour using SEO tools.
- Optimise pages on the website to help improve Net World Sports' organic presence in Google and other search engines.
- Make changes/improvements within our Content Management System (Magento) to website products and categories.
- Write content for our websites including guides that provide advice and help customers understand our products.
- Action website fixes based on technical SEO audits.
- Work with the Development team to implement larger technical changes to our websites.
- Support our digital PR activity, including liaising with our external digital PR agency to help align campaigns with SEO priorities.
- Help explore and test how Net World Sports appears in AI-generated answers, and increase visibility within LLM-based tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude.
- Work closely with other teams within the business such as Content, Marketing, Development, Product and Sales to drive improvements.
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports using Google Analytics, Search Console and other tools.
- Work closely with the paid advertising team to help deliver an integrated approach to search marketing.
- Keep up to date with the latest SEO/SEM, GEO and AI search updates and industry changes.

What You'll Bring
- A Marketing or Digital Marketing degree, or other relevant qualification
- A keen attitude to learn, and a genuine interest in SEO and digital marketing
- An understanding of SEO and the practices required to improve organic visibility
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to interpret data
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to pick things up quickly
- Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across teams
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- An interest in sports
- An understanding of other digital marketing channels including PPC, digital PR, email, influencers, and paid and organic social (desirable)
- Curiosity about, or early exposure to, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and how brands appear in AI/LLM-powered search and chat tools (desirable)
- Experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush and/or other SEO tools (desirable)
- Experience using Magento 2 (desirable)
- Knowledge of Net World Sports' product range (desirable)
Nice-to-haves
