About the Role
Black Lab is a fast-growing, ambitious digital agency, and this is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding SEO team. Working closely with our Senior SEO Manager, you’ll write and shape content that’s genuinely engaging and on-brand, not just optimised for search, while also helping to build out our outreach and digital PR activity across a varied and ambitious client portfolio.
You’ll take briefs and priorities from the Senior SEO Manager, turning them into content people genuinely want to read and outreach that earns real results, while growing your broader SEO knowledge as you go.
We’re looking for someone genuinely enthusiastic about writing and content who wants to keep learning and grow their skills across SEO.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Strategy
- Write and edit high-quality, engaging content across landing pages, blogs, web copy, press releases, and case studies, always reflecting each client’s brand and voice
- Review and refresh existing content to keep it accurate, relevant, and performing well
- Plan and maintain content calendars across the client portfolio
- Apply E-E-A-T principles, such as author bios and credible sources, to strengthen content quality
On-Page SEO & Keyword Strategy
- Carry out keyword research to guide what gets written and how it’s structured
- Make sure content maps clearly to what people are actually searching for
- Support on-page SEO best practice such as headings, internal links, and metadata
- Think commercially, focusing on content that drives leads and revenue, not just traffic

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
