About Eight Digital

Eight Digital is a growing digital marketing agency within the wider Eight Group. We work with ambitious brands to drive measurable growth through smart strategy, data-led marketing and joined-up execution.

As we continue to grow our client base, we're looking for an SEO & Content Specialist to take ownership of organic search and content delivery across a varied portfolio of clients.

The Role

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how SEO and content work together to increase visibility, attract the right audiences and ultimately generate commercial results.

You'll be responsible for planning, delivering and improving SEO and content activity across multiple client accounts.

For accounts where SEO and content are the primary services, you'll also take responsibility for the day-to-day account management and client relationship. This means owning communication, managing priorities and delivery, leading relevant client meetings and ensuring activity remains aligned with agreed objectives and budgets.

While SEO will form a significant part of the role, content won't be limited to search. You'll also support content creation across wider digital marketing channels and platforms, helping us deliver consistent, high-quality messaging throughout the customer journey.

As search continues to evolve, you'll also help us develop our approach to AI search and emerging organic visibility opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Delivery

  • Develop and deliver SEO strategies across a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Complete SEO audits and identify opportunities to improve organic performance.
  • Work with our development team to identify and resolve technical SEO issues.
  • Identify opportunities for new landing pages, service pages, guides and supporting content.
  • Support website migrations, redirects and new website launches from an SEO perspective.

AI Search & Emerging Search

  • Help develop Eight Digital's approach to visibility across AI-powered search and answer engines.
  • Understand how traditional SEO principles translate into AI search environments.
  • Keep in tune with developments across AI search experiences, testing new approaches and sharing practical recommendations internally and with clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

We're looking for someone with solid practical experience in SEO and content marketing, ideally gained within an agency. Whilst technical knowledge is important, so is how you work. We're looking for somebody who:

  • Takes ownership rather than waiting to be chased.
  • Communicates clearly and proactively with both clients and colleagues.
  • Is comfortable taking responsibility for client relationships and delivery.
  • Is commercially minded and understands that marketing needs to contribute to wider business objectives.
  • Is naturally curious and wants to understand why something is or isn't performing.
  • Can balance attention to detail with actually getting work delivered.
  • Is comfortable working in a growing business where processes will continue to evolve.
  • Wants to contribute ideas rather than simply complete a task list.
  • Keeps up with changes across SEO, content and AI without chasing every new trend for the sake of it.

Why this role is different

This role gives you the opportunity to become our internal specialist for SEO and content and play an important part in shaping how the agency develops.

You'll have ownership rather than simply receiving tasks, with the opportunity to manage your own client relationships, influence strategy and work across SEO, content and wider integrated marketing activity.

As Eight Digital grows, there will also be opportunities to develop the role, take greater ownership of our organic and content offering and contribute to the development of future team members.

Nice to have

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous, but isn't essential:

  • Digital PR or link acquisition.
  • Ecommerce SEO.
  • CRM and email marketing.
  • Social media content and campaign copywriting
  • Conversion rate optimisation.

  • Hybrid role with flexible working
  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
  • 25 Days Annual Leave, plus bank holidays
