About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Waste Management Specialist to join our dynamic team at phs Group. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing waste collection operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily waste collection activities, liaising with clients, and overseeing the proper disposal and recycling of waste materials. Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications related to environmental management or logistics are advantageous.
- Proven experience in waste management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good understanding of environmental regulations and safety protocols is necessary.
- The candidate must demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for scheduling and reporting is also desirable.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily waste collection operations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their waste management needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Oversee the scheduling and routing of waste collection vehicles to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations during waste collection and disposal processes.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of waste types, quantities, and disposal methods for reporting and regulatory purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety protocols are adhered to and equipment is maintained properly.
- Address and resolve any operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Participate in training sessions and safety meetings to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Support the development and implementation of environmental initiatives aimed at reducing waste and promoting recycling.
