About the Role
We're looking for an established and passionate SEO Executive to specialise in organic search and help continue Net World Sports' digital growth into new markets and products. We're open to Executive or Senior Executive level depending on experience.
The Role
As SEO Executive, your responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
- Work closely with the SEO Manager on all aspects of organic search activity.
- Carry out keyword research for SEO/SEM, Content and Product teams, using SEO tools to identify target keywords.
- Ongoing on-page optimisation of the website, making changes/improvements within our Content Management System (Magento).
- Content writing including copy for category pages, as well as buyers’ guides and blog posts.
- Review SEO technical audits and implement technical changes to websites.
- Build out and maintain structured data (schema markup) across the website to improve search visibility and eligibility for rich results.
- Work with the Development team to implement larger technical changes to our websites.
- Work closely with other teams within the business such as Content, Development, Product and Sales to drive improvements.
- Support with digital PR and outreach campaigns, liaising closely with our external digital PR agency to align activity with SEO priorities.
- Drive our approach to Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), taking on-page and off-page actions that increase how often, and how favourably, Net World Sports is surfaced, cited and recommended within LLM-based tools.
- Build and maintain automated SEO workflows using tools such as n8n and explore how LLMs can be used to drive efficiencies across reporting, monitoring and optimisation tasks.
- Keep up-to-date across SEO, AI and search trends, proactively suggesting and running new initiatives and tests on the website.
- Design and run structured SEO tests using tools such as SEOTesting and others to validate the impact of on-page and technical changes.
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports using Google Analytics, Search Console and other tools.
- Work closely with the PPC team to deliver an integrated search strategy.
- Keep up to date with the latest SEO/SEM, GEO and AI search updates and industry changes.

What You'll Need to Show Us
Must-Haves
- A minimum of 1-2 years' SEO experience working either in-house or at an agency (candidates with 2-4+ years will be considered for the Senior Executive level)
- Good knowledge of on-page SEO with a proven track record of optimising websites
- Technical SEO knowledge, with the ability to interpret and action technical improvements and fix issues identified by SEO tools
- Strong content writing skills with the ability to produce optimised content
- Good knowledge of off-page SEO, with experience working on content marketing and outreach campaigns
- Experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush and other SEO tools
- A genuine passion for SEO and digital marketing, with a desire to keep up to date with the latest industry updates and best practices
- Strong analytical/numerical skills with an ability to interpret data
- Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to pick things up quickly
- Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
- An interest in sports

Nice-to-Haves
- A Marketing or Digital Marketing degree, or similar qualification
- Experience working for an e-commerce brand, either in-house or at an agency
- International SEO experience
- Experience with other digital marketing channels including PPC, digital PR, email, influencers, and paid and organic social
- Practical experience with, or a strong understanding of, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and optimising for AI/LLM-powered search
- Experience building automated workflows using tools such as n8n, or using LLMs/AI tools to improve marketing efficiency
- Experience with structured SEO testing using tools such as SEOTesting or similar
- Experience using Magento 2
