About Tug

Tug is an award-winning digital marketing agency delivering results-driven campaigns across SEO, Content, Paid Media, Social, Display, OOH, and more. We’ve got offices in London, Sydney, Toronto, and Berlin — and we’re proud to be named one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work. We’re serious about performance, passionate about creativity, and committed to cultivating a culture that puts people first.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in London, Shoreditch (3 days in the office: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; Wednesday and Friday WFH).

As an SEO & GEO Account Manager, you will take ownership of client SEO strategies while driving innovation in the evolving search landscape, with the support of your SEO Account Director. You will be responsible for leading comprehensive technical audits, advanced keyword and intent research, content strategy, and robust performance analysis. Crucially, you will support in leading the charge on Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI/LLM search strategies, ensuring our clients remain visible as search behaviours shift toward AI-driven platforms.

In this role, you will also step into a leadership capacity, managing and mentoring SEO Executives within your pod. You will act as a primary point of contact for clients, translating complex organic data into actionable business insights.

You will report directly to the SEO/GEO Account Director and Head of SEO & Content, working within a collaborative pod alongside our specialised Content team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Own and develop end-to-end organic search strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring KPIs are met and ROI is maximized.
  • GEO & LLM Innovation: Proactively develop and implement Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) tactics to ensure client content is optimized for AI search engines, LLMs, and conversational search environments.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and support the day-to-day workload of SEO Executives within your pod, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Client Management: Act as the trusted day-to-day contact for clients, leading status calls, presenting performance reports, and effectively managing client expectations.
  • Technical & On-Page SEO: Oversee deep-dive technical audits, site migrations, on-page optimizations, and backlink profile management.
  • Data & Analytics: Monitor and analyse campaign performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and industry-standard SEO tools, converting data into clear, high-impact reports.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
