Job Description
Reed.co.uk is looking for an SEO Lead to join their team in Holborn, London.
Overview
Reed.co.uk is one of the UK's leading job sites, appearing in over 1 billion job searches annually and connecting millions of candidates with employers across the country. We’re looking for an experienced SEO Lead to take ownership of our day-to-day SEO performance and help drive sustainable organic growth across Reed.co.uk.
This is a highly collaborative role for someone who will be an SEO champion within the business. You’ll proactively monitor our organic performance, identify opportunities and risks, and turn SEO insight into clear recommendations and priorities. Working closely with our external SEO consultant and Digital PR agency, you’ll collaborate across Product, Engineering, Delivery, Content and Marketing to ensure SEO is considered in relevant decisions and opportunities are successfully delivered.
Traditional search will remain at the heart of the role. You’ll also help us understand and respond to the evolving landscape of AI-powered search and LLM visibility, ensuring Reed.co.uk is well positioned as candidate search behaviours develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion SEO across Reed.co.uk, ensuring organic search is understood and considered in relevant product, content and technology decisions.
- Proactively monitor and analyse organic search performance, identifying changes, risks and growth opportunities and translating these into clear recommendations and priorities.
- Own the day-to-day SEO operation, setting clear briefs and priorities, challenging recommendations where appropriate and holding teams accountable for high-quality delivery and results.
- Work closely with our SEO consultant to help translate SEO strategy into a clear, actionable roadmap and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Partner with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams to embed SEO best practice, provide input into new products and site changes, and ensure SEO requirements are understood and successfully implemented.
- Identify and diagnose technical SEO opportunities and issues across areas including crawling, indexing, site architecture, internal linking and structured data, working with Engineering on implementation.
- Work collaboratively with Content and Marketing teams on keyword research, search demand, content optimisation, competitor analysis and opportunities to strengthen organic visibility.
- Monitor search engine developments, competitor activity and emerging AI search and LLM discovery trends, identifying opportunities to test, learn and evolve our approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
