About Allica Bank
Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.
Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.
Department Description
Allica is building out its growth function, based around talented, empowered and autonomous individuals who will be responsible for product-based customer acquisition using a combination of channels to meet objectives set across the business. You will get an opportunity to work with different teams across the business including product squads, distribution, engineers and operations to deliver on Allica’s mission of becoming the UK’s most recommended business bank.
We are rare amongst banks in that our senior leadership team have backgrounds at world-leading fintechs, which shows in their active engagement in both the strategic and execution elements of our rapidly scaling organisation. Because we are working on one of the last untapped fintech opportunities, in a new team it will mean that we're often working on entirely new challenges and unpicking complexity as we move along. No two days are ever the same.
Role Description
The SEO Manager is responsible for scaling Allica’s visibility and customer growth across traditional search engines (e.g. Google, Bing) and AI platforms (e.g. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews).
This is a hands-on role that combines strategy and execution, working across our Business Bank Account and Lending products. You’ll own the key SEO pillars - including technical, content, off-page, and E-E-A-T - using AI and automation to improve productivity and results. You’ll translate visibility into commercially measurable growth, with the opportunity to shape and grow the SEO team as performance scales.
Principal Accountabilities

- Own the SEO growth strategy and roadmaps across Technical, Content, Off-Page, and E-E-A-T.
- Define what Allica should be visible for, where it should be visible, and how success is achieved.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
