Here is our situation, told straight

Colossyan is the #1 AI platform for video-led training and enablement. We turn documents and plain text into studio-quality video with AI presenters, in dozens of languages, with no camera and no crew. Enterprise training and enablement teams who used to wait weeks on a video agency now ship in an afternoon. Our technical foundations are in good shape. We rank, we get found, and we have a real audience arriving every day. That part is done.

What we do not have is one person who owns how that gets scaled, and how being found turns into customers. Search is being rebuilt right now. AI answers, video, and communities are taking share from the classic blue links, and we can already see that traffic arriving from AI assistants converts better for us than any other organic source. We have barely started on it. So this is not a job about fixing the basics. It is about scale, efficiency, and conversion, across every surface where our buyers are searching.

What you will own

Scale and efficiency

  • Take what already works and make far more of it, without diluting quality
  • Topic and keyword strategy built around commercial intent rather than traffic volume
  • Programmatic and template-driven page strategies scaling safely, with the judgement to know where they earn their keep and where they do not
  • Decide what gets made, what gets consolidated, and what gets retired. Cutting is as much a part of this as creating
  • Keep our technical health where it is. You own the standard, you review what we ship, and you make sure growth does not quietly break things

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Conversion, UX, and the customer

  • Traffic that does not convert is a cost. You own the journey from the search result to the signup or the demo request, not just the ranking
  • Work closely with our website manager and designers on page structure, layout, messaging hierarchy, and calls to action. You will have real influence over how pages look and work, not only what they say
  • Understand our customer properly. L&D, HR, and enablement buyers have a specific job to do and specific things they are worried about. The pages that win are the ones written by someone who actually knows that
  • Test changes and measure them rather than shipping on instinct and hoping

Content and copy

  • Write. This is not a briefing role. You will write and rewrite the pages that matter, and you will edit other people's work
  • Turn our comparison, alternatives, and product pages into the strongest versions of themselves
  • Own the content plan for organic end to end

AI search: AEO and GEO

  • Make Colossyan the answer that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews give
  • Build the measurement for it. Being crawled, being cited, and being clicked are three different things, and you will instrument all three
  • Work the surfaces that feed AI answers, including communities, YouTube, G2, and the wider web, not only our own site

YouTube and video search

  • Co-own our YouTube channel as a search channel: topic and format strategy, titles, thumbnails, descriptions, chapters, and playlists
  • Build the strategy that gets our videos found in YouTube search, in Google's video results, and in AI answers that draw on video
  • Turn video into a genuine source of demand rather than a brand exercise

Measurement

  • Own organic reporting: visibility, traffic, signups, qualified demos, and pipeline, rather than rankings for their own sake
  • Be able to say what your work did, and be honest about what you cannot attribute

What we need

  • 3 to 5 years in SEO, with real in-house or agency ownership of a site that mattered
  • Serious SEO skills. Not a checklist operator. We want someone who can look at a site and see the system: how architecture, internal linking, intent, and page quality fit together, and where the leverage actually sits
  • Genuinely technical. Comfortable in Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and the wider SEO stack. Able to read a crawl, diagnose an indexation problem, work with structured data, and hold your own in a conversation with an engineer
  • A strong writer. We will ask for samples and we will ask you to write something. Clear, specific, not padded, and not obviously machine-made
  • A conversion and UX instinct. You look at a page and think about what the visitor is trying to do, not only about what it ranks for
  • Real curiosity about AI search. Nobody has five years of AEO experience because it has existed for about two. What we care about is that you have been paying close attention, forming your own views, and testing things
  • Commercially minded. You think in signups and qualified demos, not sessions
  • Self-sufficient. You will be our first dedicated search hire. There is no team beneath you and no agency doing the thinking for you, though there is budget for freelance support where it genuinely helps

Nice to have

  • Confidence on camera. You would own the YouTube strategy either way, but if you are comfortable presenting it opens up a great deal more of what we can do with the channel, and we would back you to run with it
  • Video editing skills
  • B2B SaaS experience, or experience selling to L&D, HR, or enablement buyers
  • Digital PR and link acquisition experience
  • Any scripting, SQL, or AI tooling that lets you answer your own questions faster

What success looks like

First 3 months

  • You know our customer, you have found where our current organic performance is leaking, and you have started to execute a prioritised plan with a clear argument behind it.

First 6 months

  • Organic is growing on commercial-intent terms and converting better than it does today. We can measure our AI search visibility, and it is moving in the right direction. YouTube has a strategy and is executing accordingly.

First 12 months

  • We are found wherever our buyers are looking, we can prove it, and organic is a reliable source of qualified demand rather than a source of traffic.

Why this role is worth taking

Most SEO jobs in 2026 involve maintaining someone else's site inside someone else's strategy. Here the foundations are already built, which means you get to spend your time on the interesting part: scale, conversion, and the surfaces that did not exist three years ago. All of it at a company whose product is the thing you would be making content with, at the exact moment the rules of search are being rewritten. You will be able to point at what you built.
