I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Upcoming Project: Client Website Restructure
Alongside our standard client retainer work, we have a larger one-off project on the horizon for one of our key accounts - a full website URL restructure. This sits outside their existing monthly retainer (which covers advisory, content-led SEO: health checks, ongoing optimisation recommendations, and content support) and will be scoped and delivered as a separate, dedicated project with its own timeline and budget.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Scope and advise on URL restructuring, redirect mapping, and migration best practices to protect existing search equity
- Work alongside our development team and the client's technical stakeholders to plan and implement the restructure safely
- Flag risks and dependencies (crawl/index impact, redirect chains, canonical handling, tracking continuity) ahead of go-live
- Provide monitoring and recommendations post-migration to catch and resolve any ranking or indexing issues

This project will require additional dedicated hours beyond our clients' standard monthly allocations, so experience with website migrations or large-scale URL restructures from an SEO perspective is a strong plus.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in SEO management, ideally within an agency or client-facing environment
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and content-driven SEO strategy
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time and methods
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across strategy, content, and development teams
- Responsive to client needs within standard working hours (9am–6pm, Monday to Friday)
Contract Details
- Engagement type: Independent contractor
- Hours: Ad-hoc, as requested, with a minimum of 12 hours per month
- Rate: £40 per hour
