Appear Online

Appear Online is a search marketing (SEO) agency working with businesses across the UK, Canada, and Australia. We help our clients increase their visibility in search engines and LLMs, build their brand, and grow the traffic and enquiries coming through their websites. Our team is made up of dedicated and enthusiastic search marketing specialists focused on client results.

The role

We are looking for an SEO Specialist to join our growing team. You will manage SEO campaigns across a diverse range of industries, working to improve organic rankings, grow organic traffic, and increase lead generation and sales. The work spans technical, on-page, and off-page SEO, including strategy creation, execution and reporting.

Some experience in SEO or digital marketing is preferred, whether that comes from an agency, an in-house team, freelance work, or your own projects. A university degree is not required. What matters most is enthusiasm and the drive to keep learning as the field changes.

What you will do

  • Strategy: develop and expand SEO strategies across a range of client accounts.
  • Keyword research: carry out keyword research and competitor analysis, mapping target keywords to pages by search intent.
  • On-page SEO: optimise meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, internal linking, and on-page content.
  • Technical SEO: audit and improve crawlability, indexation, site architecture, page speed and Core Web Vitals, structured data, and XML sitemaps.
  • Local SEO: optimise Google Business Profile listings and maintain local citations and NAP consistency.
  • Off-page SEO: plan and deliver link-building and digital PR to strengthen backlink profiles and domain authority.
  • Reporting: track rankings and monitor performance in GA4 and Google Search Console, then turn the data into clear and transparent reports.
  • Keeping current: stay on top of algorithm updates and SEO best practice so client sites stay competitive.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
