SEO Strategist

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Strategist to join our dynamic team in London.

As an SEO Strategist, you will be a key leader in providing strategic guidance for our clients, translating complex challenges into clear, actionable plans that drive organic growth and align with overarching business goals. You have a proven track record as an accomplished SEO professional with exceptional client-facing skills and the ability to combine high-level strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Taking the lead on larger client portfolios, you will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive SEO strategies.
  • GEO & AI Search Strategy: You will develop and implement Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies, helping clients adapt to the evolving search landscape dominated by AI and conversational interfaces.
  • Client and Account Management: You will be a point of contact for a portfolio of clients, working closely with the client services team to ensure seamless delivery and communication.
  • Opportunity Identification: You will develop a structured, proactive approach to identify new growth opportunities for our clients.
  • Team Training & Development: You will assist the Head of SEO in our internal training schedule, delivering sessions on advanced SEO topics and mentoring junior team members.
  • Reporting & Analysis: You will provide valuable, actionable insights and analysis to clients. This goes beyond simple data reporting and involves interpreting performance to tell a story, identifying commercial impact, and actively participating in efforts to continuously improve our reporting processes.
  • Thought Leadership: As a senior team member, you will contribute to the agency's marketing objectives by producing high-quality blog posts, presentations, and other media.
  • Channel Leadership: You will be a key point of contact for the London office, supporting the channel leads in deploying and embedding our SEO proposition across the wider business and ensuring our methods remain cutting-edge.

Skills and Competencies

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a strategic SEO role.
  • Proven expertise in leading and managing large, complex SEO projects from concept to completion.
  • Advanced proficiency with core SEO tools including Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console.
  • A strong ability to interpret complex data to identify trends, opportunities, and the commercial value of SEO.
  • Foundational understanding of how web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript impact search engine crawling and ranking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating technical concepts into a clear, business-focused narrative.
