Role Overview

Our marketing team helps people across the UK and Ireland discover Zellis at the very moment they are looking for better ways to pay, manage and support their people, across payroll, HR and workforce management (WFM). You will sit within the demand capture team, the people who make sure that when someone goes searching for answers, Zellis is right there to meet them.

This is a brilliant moment to own search at Zellis. The way people find information is changing fast. Alongside traditional search engine optimisation (SEO), buyers now put their questions to answer engines (AEO) and to generative engines such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity (this is known as generative engine optimisation, or GEO). Your job is to make sure Zellis is found, understood and recommended across all of these, so that more of the right people come to us ready to talk.

You will bring these three disciplines together into one clear plan, working hand in hand with an external SEO agency who you guide and hold to account. You do this so that Zellis grows its organic visibility, captures more of the demand that is already out there, and turns curious searchers into genuine conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • You own the SEO, AEO and GEO plan for Zellis, in order to grow our organic visibility and bring more of the right people to us.
  • You manage our external SEO agency day to day, setting clear briefs, priorities and expectations, in order to get brilliant work that moves the numbers that matter.
  • You shape and improve our website content alongside the wider marketing team, in order to make sure every page answers the questions our customers are actually asking.
  • You build the Zellis presence in answer engines and generative engines, in order to make sure we are found and recommended when buyers ask AI tools for help.
  • You track how Zellis shows up across search and AI answers, in order to understand where we are winning and where we need to do better.
  • You turn search and AI visibility data into clear, honest insights for the wider team, in order to help everyone make smart decisions about content and priorities.
  • You work closely with the demand generation and content teams, in order to make sure the demand we create is matched by the visibility to capture it.
  • You keep on top of how search and AI discovery are changing, in order to keep Zellis ahead rather than catching up.
  • You look after the technical health of our site for search alongside our web and agency partners, in order to give every page, the best possible chance of being found.
  • You report on progress against clear goals, in order to show the value of organic search to the wider business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
