About CRKLR

CRKLR is a digital marketing agency based in Hove and Brighton with a global team based in South Africa and Portugal and working across paid media, SEO, and strategic content for clients spanning e-commerce, leisure, and hospitality. We’ve been building the agency of the future, applying the latest technologies and delivering the results to prove it.

We're growing our SEO and GEO/AIO discipline to match the strength of our biddable media team and provide true cross-discipline strategic integration.

The Role

We're looking for an SEO Manager to lead technical and content SEO delivery across our client portfolio, with a strong focus on how search is evolving through AI Overviews, LLM-driven discovery, and generative engine optimization (GEO/AIO).

You'll own the technical health of client sites end to end — running audits, diagnosing issues, and either implementing fixes directly or briefing developers precisely enough that nothing gets lost in translation.

Alongside this, the candidate will need to deliver keyword research-backed content strategies that deliver citations and support the shift from traditional search engines.

This is a hands-on role for someone who's as comfortable in Search Console and a crawl report as they are advising clients on where search is heading next.

We want the individual to challenge the way that we position search and lean into social media platforms as an extension of search and discovery. We are convinced that the future of search is rapidly changing and we want to be pioneers in this space.

This is an opportunity to be the part of something bigger and we want the individual to see this as the start of a journey to becoming a true pioneer in the agency space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision of SEO for the agency and be vocal about the work and impact that we deliver for our clients
  • Run comprehensive technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data, log files) across a portfolio of client sites.
  • Identify and prioritise technical issues, then apply fixes directly or manage implementation through client development teams.
  • Develop and execute GEO/AIO strategies to improve client visibility in AI Overviews, LLM-generated answers, and other generative search surfaces.
  • Build and maintain structured data, schema markup, and content architecture that supports both traditional rankings and AI-driven discovery.
  • Monitor and report on organic performance, translating technical findings into clear, commercially-minded recommendations for clients.
  • Writing & coordinating key content based on extensive keyword and PPAA research for client sites and GMB profiles in order to improve rank, traffic, and sales
  • Partner with our paid media and content teams to align SEO, GEO, and paid strategy across integrated client accounts.
  • Stay ahead of algorithm updates, AI search developments, and technical SEO best practice, and feed that thinking into agency-wide methodology.
  • Support new business by identifying and nurturing leads, technical SEO audits, and GEO/AIO strategy for pitches and proposals.
  • Write regular content focused on SEO/GEO on our website.
  • Attend events representing the company and be prepared to create content on LinkedIn talking about our work and vision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
