Data Careers is supporting a secure public sector organisation in the East Midlands in the search for an experienced Server & Cloud Engineer.

This is an opportunity to join a specialist infrastructure team responsible for the design, implementation, support and ongoing development of a complex hybrid technology estate. Operating within a highly secure environment, you will help ensure critical systems remain resilient, secure and available, supporting services that have a direct impact on operational effectiveness and public safety.

The successful candidate will bring strong server, cloud and infrastructure expertise, combining hands-on technical delivery with the ability to contribute to the continual improvement of the organisation's technology landscape.

  • Provide third-line technical expertise across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, server and storage technologies.
  • Support infrastructure design, cloud adoption initiatives and technology improvement programmes.
  • Collaborate with security, networking and information management teams to ensure infrastructure services meet both operational and security requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
