Role Overview:

The Server Tooling and Orchestration Specialist is a key role responsible for implementing, optimising, and supporting infrastructure tooling and orchestration platforms. This role offers technical ownership of runbooks and integrations with platforms such as ServiceNow, SCOM, Active Directory, and Azure AD / Entra ID, ensuring that automation services are reliable, secure, and compliant with stringent service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain infrastructure tooling environments, including Microsoft System Centre Orchestrator (SCORCH).
  • Ensure the health and performance of SCORCH environments across production and non-production settings.
  • Diagnose and resolve automation, integration, and workflow challenges.
  • Manage integrations and interdependencies across multiple platforms including ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, and more.
  • Oversee lifecycle activities like patching, upgrades, and capacity management.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive operational documentation and support procedures.
  • Investigate and address incidents, supporting continuous service improvement.
  • Adhere to agreed standards and controls, supporting change and incident management processes.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft System Centre Orchestrator (SCORCH).
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Expertise in integrating SCORCH with ServiceNow and managing ITSM workflows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server administration relevant to Orchestrator.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in lifecycle management.
  • ITIL-aligned environment experience, handling incident and change management.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities, with strong stakeholder management skills.
